About Me

My name is Cindy Townsend, I am the Technology teacher at Fox Creek Elementary. I am currently in my fifteenth year working in Douglas County. I love the fact that my job is so diverse, and I get to work with all grade levels. I am enjoying the challenges and successes of introducing technology to students as a way to enhance their learning. My personal goal for all of my students is to create lessons where they learn how to learn, and use critical thinking and creativity for the discovery process. I believe that teaching to the whole child will support them to be innovative, independent, and creative thinkers.

I am one of FCE's Co-leader's for DCSD Healthy Schools, and enjoy working with our school's Health and Wellness Link Crew to promote a healthy lifestyle for our students.

I am married and have two boys. Bryce who is a graduate of Colorado School of Mines, and now out in the work force using his programing skills to make a living. Jaret who is a graduate of University of Washington, and playing professional soccer with Sporting KCII. I was raised in Miami, Florida and love the beach and ocean. My husband and I spend time outside enjoying the Colorado hiking trails, camping, and kayaking. I also enjoy running and reading.
